PROJECT UPDATE
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Today, Friday, October 9, between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m., a shoulder closure will be in effect on U.S. Route 7 (U.S. 7) approximately 0.5 miles south of its junction with VT 313. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
Next week, there are minimal to no traffic impacts anticipated within the project areas on U.S. 7, approximately 0.5 miles and 1.1 miles south of its junction with VT 313. A short-duration shoulder closure may be implemented if necessary.
Drivers should reduce speed and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews are applying a protective sealer (silane spray) to the culvert wingwalls and outlets today. Next week, crews will water newly planted trees within the project areas as necessary.
This is the final Construction Update for the Sunderland U.S. Route 7 Culvert Replacement Projects as the silane application and tree watering are the remaining activities before final inspection. A final Project Update and End of Project Survey to gather feedback on the project’s construction and public outreach efforts will be issued prior to project completion.
LOCATION: On U.S. Route 7 in the Town of Sunderland, approximately 0.5 miles and 1.1 miles south of its junction with Vermont Route 313.
