Committee Mission and Background
The Mission of the Â鶹Íø Economic Development Committee is to develop and implement plans that will ensure the continuing economic revitalization of the town.
One of the efforts of this Committee was securing a Village Center Designations for both South Â鶹Íø and Â鶹Íø Center. This Village Center Designation allows businesses within these boundaries to apply for, and potentially receive,
significant tax credits for improvements they make to their businesses. The Economic Development Committee will provide support for businesses in their
application process. Any business wanting to learn more about this program should contact us.
The Select Board and Planning Commission have also been studying Economic Development for Â鶹Íø within the context of a greater Bennington Economic Development Plan. This Committee will assist in the implementation of any relevant projects
coming out of the Bennington Economic Development Plan. We encourage all business, large and small, to work with us in improving the
economic development of our community. As always, the Economic Development Committee welcomes new members.
