The Budget Committee works alongside the Town Administrator and Treasurer to ensure that public funds are allocated efficiently, priorities align with our town plan and the needs of our community, and ensures a transparent budgeting process.
Members serve a term of 3 months, during which they take on an advisory role that serves to 鈥渞eview the draft budget prepared by the town鈥檚 finance office or budget committee; provide recommendations to the selectboard on priorities, allocations,
and fiscal strategy; and offer expertise or public input before the budget is presented to voters鈥� created under 24 V.S.A. 搂1147 and pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 搂4433. This committee鈥檚 work is not binding.
