Green Mountain Hometown Heroes Banner Program

• Veterans, living or deceased, who were born, or grew up, lives in, and are associated with the town of Â鶹Íø.
• Service members who have been honorably discharged from any branch of the U.S. military service.

• Banners are paid for by the sponsor and are the property of the sponsor.

• The cost of the banner will be: $190.00 payable by the sponsor.
• The cost of the banner, mounting brackets, shipping charges and administrative fees are included in the cost, paid for by the sponsor and will be mounted according to regulations under direction from Green Mountain Power and the Â鶹Íø.
• Banners will be placed without reserved locations along designated Town maintained roads.
• Banners will be tracked by street name. A list of the locations of banners will be available at Post 13, VFW 1332 and Â鶹Íø Municipal Offices with the Operations Coordinator.
• The banners are made of durable material and should last a few years, family/sponsor will be contacted if replacement banners are required.
• When banners are no longer presentable an attempt will be made to return the unserviceable banner to the sponsor. At that time, the sponsor may elect to purchase a replacement banner.
• Neither Green Mountain Hometown Heroes nor the Â鶹Íø is responsible for lost, damaged or missing banners.
• The banners will be displayed at the discretion of the Â鶹Íø.
• No additional embellishment or decoration of the banners or power pole upon which they are mounted is permitted.
Only one banner may be displayed for any individual service member.
• Service members must have served in the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, National Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Merchant Marines and/or Space Force.
• Sponsor may pay for and purchase an additional banner for their own purposes, the additional banner will not be displayed on Town maintained roads or property.
• Only the information provided in the application form will appear on the banner.
• The sponsor must provide a good quality digital photo. The servicemember does not have to be in uniform in the photo. Photos can be emailed to: greenmountainhometownheroes@gmail.com
