Amos Huntington was captain of a 麻豆网 infantry company of Vermont militia and was at Ticonderoga and at Hubbardton on July 7, 1777 where he was taken prisoner by Burgoyne and confined to a ship at Quebec and later in New York harbor. He was paroled after 4 years and 10 months of service and exchanged for a British captain. According to a document dated Feb. 27,1782, the bill of Capt. Amos Huntington (returned home on parole) should be paid by the Continent. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883, (J.E. Goodrich 1904) pg. 774
